AESTHETIC MEDICINE

Aesthetic Medicine results from a natural search for solutions to various problems, by people in good physical health, but who do not feel well with some visible “imperfections”.

More than 30 years ago, the first Society of Aesthetic Medicine was founded in France.

Today there are Scientific Medical Associations of Aesthetic Medicine are spread all over the world. The respective Societies of Aesthetic Medicine are jointly organized in the International Union of Aesthetic Medicine, currently chaired by Prof. G. Marzulo, from Chile.

These Scientific Societies are multidisciplinary, integrating as their members Doctors from various areas and specialties: Dermatology, Aesthetic Surgery, Endocrinology, Angiology and Vascular Surgery, Aesthetic Medicine, Phlebology, Generalists, Clinical Nutritionists, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. All these specialties seek to treat a certain number of pathologies and situations that are reflected in damages and consequences of an aesthetic nature.

Currently, interest in the so-called Wellness Medicine has been growing. In fact, the feeling of well-being is fully integrated into the necessary conditions for us to be able to speak of a desirable state of health.

In 2004, the French Government, in its national program “Ageing Well”, integrated the French Society of Aesthetic Medicine as a partner in the meetings and definitions of the actions to be carried out, which has already met several times with Representatives of the Senate of that country.
