Treatment of the "Barcode"

The upper lip region is often affected by an early sign of aging, through the formation of small vertical wrinkles distributed along it.

These wrinkles, also common in women who smoke, give the face an extremely heavy look, in addition to, in some cases, making make-up difficult, in terms of contouring and application of “lipstick”.

However, they are easily corrected through a technique similar to mesotherapy, in which small amounts of a hyaluronic acid molecule with specific characteristics for this area are injected, in order to rebuild an elastic and moisturizing matrix that works as a skin support.

HYALURONIC ACID

Our skin, when young, is characteristically smooth and elastic. It contains a lot of hyaluronic acid, which is a substance in our body that fills the spaces between cells.

With advancing age, hyaluronic acid decreases, also decreasing the hydration and elasticity of the skin, which contributes to the appearance of wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid based treatments are extremely safe, FDA approved and fully reversible.

Depending on the areas in which it is applied, the effect lasts between 6 and 9 months, and, in general, as applications are made, the space between them tends to increase.
